Here’s just a few Irie recommendations from your hosts! If you come and try something that was a family favorite, please email and tell us about it! We would love to try it ourselves and possibly post it here for future guests to enjoy!
First things first. Sapphire Beach is one of the most sought after resorts on the island, so don’t overlook the beauty of what’s right in front of you. This beach is Paradise for snorklers! Sapphire Beach also offers watersport and snorkle gear rentals. They also have free beach chairs for those staying at the condos.
A boat day is the best day! This is 100% our familys very favorite day, every single trip we take. There’s never been a boat day that wasn’t worth it..ever. It’s not just about being on a boat. It’s about all the places and stops you get to make. It’s about seeing and snorkeling different reefs that you otherwise wouldn’t be able to access. It’s about fitting in more beaches that you otherwise couldn’t. It’s covering more of 2 islands in a day than you could in your entire trip if you were beach hoping by car. It’s an experience you will want to add to your list! We promise
St John. You just need to. We are only one mile from the ferry and it’s about a 15 minute ferry ride over. Once in St John, the day doesn’t officially start until you stop by IRIE POPS for a delicious homemade popsicle. From there, cross the street to hop on the trail head for a hike to Honeymoon Beach. This beach is at the top of our list!! The waters are unmatched! Great snorkeling and it’s typically not very crowded. There are also chair rentals available. Food and drink can also be purchased.
Trunk Bay is also a MUST when on St John. It was voted the most beautiful beach in the Carribean and we agree! On top of the great views, Trunk Bay has an underwater snorkel trail! They also have beach gear rentals and food and drink for purchase.
